Web-based wireless monitoring
Using web-based, wireless technology, PowerPulse 24 monitors the generator 24-7 and automatically sends Generator Power System staff an email or text message the very moment the generator experiences a fault.
The customer receives a phone call, followed by a service call.
The most common faults, Fish said, include low battery power, low coolant levels, corrosion of the terminals – faults that can quite literally leave you in the dark.
“We’re going to make sure that generator is not in your yard sitting like a paperweight when you need it,” Fish said.
24-hour peace of mind
While technicians will automatically be warned of a potential problem, customers who are into that kind of thing can log in themselves at www.powerpulse24.net for self monitoring – something that comes in handy, Fish said, for folks at the office or out of town.
One of the highlights of PowerPulse 24 is a regular ticker check.
“The system gives us a heartbeat every day,” Fish said. “It pings that machine and lets us know it’s where its supposed to be – it has a GPS system -and that there are no faults.”
Reports also show “exercise time,” a weekly turn-on for the generator.
“It’s not running at full load, it’s not transferring power,” Fish said. “It’s just keeping fluids running through and the belts pliable.”
